A bumper newsletter to compensate for not producing a February issue as we moved to a new home. Thank you all for your wonderful feedback regarding the new look website and do continue to let us know what you else you would like to see on the site. Inspiration this month comes from Eileen Caddy, founder of Findhorn "Realise that you cannot help a soul unless that soul really wants help and is ready to be helped. I tell you to send that soul nothing but love and more love. Be still and wait, but be there when that soul turns for help."
Sound Healing with Tibetan Bowls
In the words of the great Tibetan master/Bodhisattva Gwalwa Karmapa, the Singing Bowls of Tibet emit the "Sound of the Void", the sound of the universe manifesting. They are a symbol of the 'unknowable' and as an alloy, date back to the Buddha, Shakyamni (560-480 B.C.). Their origins and detailed histories are shrouded in the distant past and are surely a gift from the shamanistic 'Bon' religion which precedes Buddhism in Tibet by centuries. For centuries they have been utilized for healing and consciousness transformation. We are now discovering the science behind this powerful ancient modality which is so effective for healing today. Modern medicine can now measure and thus confirm the practice of sound as a means to heal.
The Art of Finding Oneself
At the beginning of 1995 Emma Armstrong found herself in a very strange place. She says: "My long term relationship with a man I thought I would marry was over, my short liaison directly after that was also over and I was living in a country where I felt very alone. I had been in Johannesburg, South Africa for just under 4 years and had had a tremendous time, but for some reason I felt it was all coming to an end. It was at this point that I discovered personal development. A friend at work had been trying very hard for at least 6 months to get me along to a group she had found called the Font and in January I was finally ready. Looking back I realised the timing was perfect for me and I was at last open to change in my life."
Immunity and Belief in Healing
Sound healer Tom Kenyon says: "I have come to see Immunity in a much larger context than just our physical immune response to pathogens. From a biological perspective, our immune systems are a way to determine self from non-self. If something invades our bodies (say a bacteria or a virus) our immune systems quickly ascertain if they are a part of us or not. If they are not recognized as a part of our personal biology, then our immune systems mobilize their resources to destroy the toxic invaders. Physical immune response is a very complex affair—a combination of many factors including genetics, nutrition, environmental factors, personal vitality as well as mental/emotional patterns."

Homeopathy
The German doctor, chemist, translator and linguist Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843) is credited with being the founder of homeopathy. This is true in as much as he shaped the diverse elements of which homeopathy consists into a coherent and practical medical therapy. But some of the elements have been around a long time before Hahnemann used them. It was known, for example, long before Hahnemann that like can be cured with like, e.g. a burn is better be treated with something hot than with cold, frozen feet need the application of snow rather than warmth, etc. Equally, it was known that it was possible to dilute poisonous substances to make them medicinal. But it was Hahnemann who moulded a reliable method for curing acute and chronic diseases out of this. He further observed that the dilution of poisonous substances alone does not make them effective medicines.
Body Talk
The BodyTalk system works by first identifying the weak energy circuits that exist within the body. The practitioner relies on the innate wisdom of the body to locate the energy circuits that need repair by using a form of biofeedback, which is a subtle muscle testing technique. For every malfunctioning energy circuit that is found, the practitioner or client contacts the corresponding "points" with their hands. The practitioner then lightly taps the client on the top of the head, which stimulates the brain centers and causes the brain to re-evaluate the state of the body's health. The result is that the general energy balance of the body is greatly improved.

Don't Mess with Moldavite
Rita Jelinski, has taken it upon herself to share her rather calamitous crystal healing experience. She says "I've never been big on crystals and could never really see the point, and my mouth has tended to curl into a mocking sneer whenever people talk about crystal healing. Images of crepe sandaled ‘crusties’ with nose studs and vacant expressions spring to mind and I’ve frankly found it quite irritating when people waffle on about the zingy, throbbing energy that they feel from such and such a crystal whereas I always get diddly squat, short changed on the tingles as per usual. Still, I don’t like to be so prejudiced and admit defeat and so I decided that I’d go and buy a crystal and see if it might help me with my so far unsuccessful attempts to meditate. I’d read a fair bit about how crystals could amplify the meditation experience and so it was definitely worth a shot.
Colour Article
Pamela Oslie in her book 'Life Colors' describes people working on yellow energy as being the most fun-loving, free-spirited, energetic and childlike personalities in the aura spectrum. Yellows are wonderful, sensitive, optimistic beings, whose life purpose is to bring joy to people, to have fun and to help heal the planet. Yellows can be either very shy and sensitive or the life of the party. These playful characters love to laugh and believe life is to be enjoyed to the full. With perpetual smiles they remind people not to take themselves or their problems too seriously.
