Our mind continually brings thoughts into our consciousness during the day and in sleep they emerge as dreams. You can reprogramme old thoughts and belief patterns with positive affirmations. Or, use meditation , guided visualization and yoga to still the mind and together with focussed breathing to recharge the body and feel refreshed.

We are what we believe. Our belief systems are often established early in life. It may be as a child you were told 'you're so messy' and as a result, grew up to be untidy. When you have a quiet moment think about your beliefs and write them down. Then ask yourself, are these beliefs still relevant in your life today or are they based on perceptions or recordings of days gone by?

Reinforcing positive thoughts will in time change old belief patterns. Find yourself a quiet space and just listen to the thoughts racing around in your mind. As you listen to your thoughts note any negative statements. We can be masters at telling ourselves that 'we can't do' and 'it will never happen' etc and yet by changing these personal statements you can make a difference not only to yourself but also those around you.

Shakti Gawain says in ther book .Creative Visualization  'The practice of engaging in affirmations allows us to begin replacing some of our stale, worn out, or negative mind chatter with more positive ideas and concepts. It is a powerful technique, one which can in a short time transform many of our attitudes and expecations about life, and thereby help to change what we create for ourselves.'

You can buy or make positive affirmation cards for simple messages that you wish to bring into your life. It may be something like ' focus on what brings you joy'. By reciting this to yourself each day and with the card placed in a prominent position, your mind will register the affirmation each time your eye sees it. And, if you believe this is what you want, it will happen as you subconsciously begin to make time for what you enjoy.

The Heart Cards are filled with inspiring messages designed to motivate you to expand in beautiful ways. Simply lay the cards face down, close your eyes, focus inward and pick a card. It never ceases to amaze me how apt the chosen message always is.
