Biolumanetics

By Dr Keith Scott-Mumby MB, ChB

Nature has the endless capacity to surprise and fascinate us. Biolumanetics, a new science of healing, is just about the most unusual medical application of light in therapy that I have heard of. The system was developed by a 62 year old American engineer called Patrick Richards.

In 1983 he designed an instrument called a Luminator which balances air temperatures for efficient office energy management. In fact his invention turned out to have a far more important and totally novel application than the one for which is was made. While testing the unit in an open plan office, Richards found that many people reported unexpected health gains, from reduction of stress and migraine levels to disappearance of low back pain. The big question was - Why!

The Luminator alters the local environment in three main ways:
1. Temperatures are balanced uniformly throughout (wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling)
2. An altered magnetic field is created
3. The available light in the room is altered from incoherent (light going in many directions) to coherent (polarized into one plane only).

In 1985 Richards discovered by serendipity that light from living cell forms could be imaged in the field of the Luminator. Late 1985 found him photographing people holding their medications and noting how, as Abrams and Voll had discovered before, that the patients energy status alters for the better dramatically. In the case of Richards equipment, a sick person may have a very blurred, indistinct image, but simply by holding an effective medication the persons special photographic image becomes immediately sharp and clear. Logically, if the mediation is not suitable , the image remains blurred or becomes even more foggy.

Subsequently, Richards went on to develop a unique and sophisticated method of assessing patients and establishing suitable remedies. He calls his system VRIC (visual reference of image) and it basically entails the use of enhanced photography to measure the vitality and coherence of any life form human, plant or animal.

To make a VRIC assessment image requires a fixed focus Polaroid camera and the Luminator as a source. The brightness, intensity and coherence of the light reflected by the patient and captured on the photography is a precise indication of his or her health and energy status. Therapy would then consist of taking a base image and endeavouring to find a remedy, or more than one remedy, which will make it sharper and brighter, much as the EAV practitioner does by eliminating the ID drop.

Arguably this is a milestone development for practitioners in the field of energetic healing, indeed all therapeutic practice. We can now see objective changes after Reiki, homeopathy, flower essences, shiatsu and colour therapy, to name just a few.

Again, the vital side of the body energy information field is made abundantly clear; the medication need only be put on the floor close to the subject to transmit is signal. Not contact is required, but provided it is within the energetic aura the light coherence may change markedly. No smoke, no mirrors! Thats about as much proof as weh have for you at present of the tenets of energy healing expounded in these pages.

A patient can of course bring his or her own medication for assessment, bit VRIC specialsist have their own repertoire of preferences and a range of special frequencies called 'Lumanetics' which Richards claims are not affected by Gaia fields.

When a suitable therapeutic match is made, the 'vbrational signature' is transferred to an anionic chelate fluid, which is a negatively charged fluid made in a special field. It is said not only to hold the required therapeutic energy but actually to bind magnetically with toxins and impurities in order to help them be eliminated, although I find statement like hti hard to take without some experimental support.

Probably the most exciting potential of all with the VRIC system is in assessing the energy dynamics of interpersonal relationships. The phototgraphy can tell a person if the partner he or she is with is 'right' for them or not. The common complaint 'I feel really drained with that person' can now be expressed in an objective and impersonal way. With a stressful individual standing in close proximity to the subject, the assessment image is blurred, whereas with other neutral companions it remains relavitely sharp. It is remarkable to reflect just how radical a change it could bring to our turbulent over-emotional society to be able to assess family, love relationships, professional and personal relationships (in fact any relationship at all) in a clear, precise and non judgemental manner.

On a recent visit to the practice facility of Thrity Engineer, a London-based practitioner of Biolumaneticds, I was shown several fascinating examples of family group dynamics. In one instance, a child taking Ritalin for ADD (attention deficit disorder) was quite coherent without the medicine. When his sibling and father stood next to him, he remained fully coherent.

But as soon as his mother joined the group, the childs image went incoherent. The surprising course of action was therefore to give the mother a remedy, which made the boy coherent again when she held it. The mother was subsequently treated and the boy recovered completely, without any further need of medication.

Thrity also showed me what Richards call right-and-left brain coherence. This is accessed by photographing the patient with the left eye open, right eye closed and then vice versa. An individual will sometime be incoherent in one modality but not the other.

Casebook: Female 43 years
A woman was distressed by the loss of her son some years before. When she held a photography of the deceased in her right hand (left brain) she remained coherent. But when the photograph was put in her left hand (right brain) she became quite visually incoherent. It is easy to see that she could rationalize her loss (left brain logic) but could not come to terms with the emotions (right brain).

A suitable remedy was chosen photographically and her emotional patterns changed at once to a better and healthier regards for her lost offspring. Incidentally, I was fascinated to see that even the houseplants which appear in Thritys photographs would become incoherent along with an incoherent human source nearby. But fully recovered next to a healthy individual!

Biolumanetics claims not to address directly the symptoms of illness. There is nothing to tell the practitioner at what level the bio-energetic disturbance lies, whether energetic, emotional or physical. Thus the approach question is not 'What is causing this coherence?' but What will make this system vital or coherent?'

As Thrity Engineer says, 'Accuracy, specificity, precision and safety are the hallmarks of the VRIC assessment system. The photo's can't lie. No doubt we will hear more of the Biolumenaateics system in the future.
