Frances will be conducting a series of weekend herbal walks at a number of locations in Bushey and Watford, Herts from March 2017. The walks will begin at 2pm and last approximately 2 1/2 hours. We will seek out plants in the hedgerows and local woods that have a history of traditional use as herbal medicine as well as discussing folklore and use in the home. Plant Medicines during the War - Guided Walk

We are once again participating in the Bushey Festival in July this year. Come along and meet fellow medical herbalists Frances and Jill for a guided walk around Reveley Lodge Gardens at 10 am or 2 pm. Discover the importance of plants needed for medicines during both World Wars and the traditional folklore of many plants in your borders. The guided walk will last 1-1/2 hours followed by a panel discussion for any questions. Refreshments will be available. You will be making your very own relaxing infusion from a selection of dried herbs, a soothing decoction to help relieve coughs and sore throats and a syrup high in vitamin C to help keep away colds throughout the winter months. Reveley Lodge is situated at the corner of Elstree Road and Clay Lane in Bushey Heath, Hertfordshire. There is very limited parking at Reveley and for major events it is better to park in Caldecote Gardens just opposite Reveley Lodge, or in Clay Lane.
